Palindromes

Palindromes
- word or sentence that reads the same backwards of forwards.

1. Murder for a jar of red rum.

2. Never odd or even.

3. No lemons, no melon

4. Nurse! i spy gypsies! Run!

5. Party booby trap

6. Was it a car or a cat i saw?

7. Yo! Banana boy!

Amazing isn't it? Do you have any palindromes in mind? :)

Sunsets, I love.

Recently, I find my self taking pictures of sunset views from our window. After taking a picture from my mobile phone, I make it as my wallpaper right away. As I lay on bed after a tiring day of work, look out side our window, and witness the setting of the sun, it wipes away all the weariness i'm feeling. Like magic!

I don't know, but there's something about sunsets that I love. I was always mesmerized by its beauty. The mixture of colors such as blueorange, red, violet and even pink spread over the horizon is really breathtaking! Sunsets also gives me that relaxing feeling.

I have to agree with John Lubbock,
"Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven."
And just a few hours ago, I took this picture from our window. Isn't it beautiful? :)

Ciao!

PLDT myDSL & Nuffnang bring you The Avengers!

Most of the people in our generation today cannot imagine living without the internet. I have to admit, my life would be pretty dull without the world wide web. It is because the internet has changed and formed our current society, hence, making it more difficult to live without its advantages.

Personally, I have my reasons why it's vital for me to have a fast internet connection. I'm a person who tends to multi-task, so it is important for me to access different networking sites all at once. I always check new updates and notifications on my Twitter and Facebook account while uploading pictures from an important event. A low speed connection will take hours while the high speed Internet will do that in a few minutes. When I get bored, I go to Youtube and check out videos from my favorite vloggers (I'm fond of watching daily vlogs, one of my fave is itsJudysLife) or watch Kdramas in mysoju so imagine the hassle if it takes too long to buffer! I also need to look up on my resources immediately whenever I draft for my blog in order to avoid delays in posting it. The use of video calls such as Skype nowadays were essential for me to communicate with my relatives abroad and frequent buffering will be avoided if we use a high-speed internet connection. You see, the list could go on and on.

Well now, are you guilty of having a turtle-like internet connection? Fret no more because this summer is the perfect time to enjoy the strongest connections at home! With PLDT myDSL’s Great Payday Sale, you could say bye bye to videos which takes too long to buffer and the likes.

PLDT myDSL’s Great Payday Sale will happen on April 27-29, 2012.

You can upgrade your Internet with PLDT myDSL’s biggest Internet sale ever. All you have to do is register at the nearest PLDT Home booth or malls nationwide on April 27-29, 2012 with 1 valid ID, no cash out! Freebies like a WiFi+Modem with free installation and 1 month DSL will be given away. That’s as much as P5,000 savings! How cool is that?? :) But what if you're schedule is pretty tight that you can't afford to go to the nearest booth or mall? Good news! You can also apply online at www.pldtmydsl.com :)

A lot of people think that it is alright for them to spend LESS money in order to access the internet with a lower speed, but still, there are a lots of reasons that shows the benefits of a HIGH- speed internet and PLDT myDSL is definitely the best choice. :)

Eggziting Easter Sunday at Pan Pacific Hotel Manila

Holy week (also called as Mahal na Araw or Semana Santa) is the time where us Filipinos show our faith by way of prayer and penitence and is celebrated every first week of April. It is the time where we repent and contemplate on the things that we have done. We all have long days off from work or school so we have the liberty to spend it out-of-town or stay at home.

Then came Easter Sunday. Aside from the Easter Bunny, colorfully decorated Easter eggs, and Easter egg hunts, what we really are celebrating on this day is the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ. It all gives us hope and another fresh start. :)

It is my very first time to celebrate Easter Sunday and I was so happy to be celebrating it on an event held by Pan Pacific Hotel Manila! :)

This event is mainly for kids together with their parents, and kids-at-heart like us to enjoy! :)

At the entrance, we were greeted with warm smiles from the staff. They also gave us goodie bags filled with sweet treats inside. :)

Inside, it looks very colorful with their carnival theme. The stage looks like this:

There were different game booths inside where kids could win prizes plus playgrounds such as inflatable slides and one where you could jump and bounce. I would love to try that one for my self, but I'm afraid I might deflate it. Boohoo.

An area for face painting is also spotted on one corner of the room :)

I loved their table setting! Several round tables were lowered on the floor with pillows around it for the kids to sit on while watching the show. You'll also feel very relaxed and comfortable while eating your food :)

I was feeling a bit sick that afternoon, but thanks to the wonderful magician who kept us all entertained! Balloon tricks, magic shows, and a couple of other games made the kids (and even us) all very delighted. See, even the puppets were also there to charm us. :)

Believe me, I really wanted to volunteer my self to experience being inside the bubble. Maybe next time, if there's even a next time.

A party would not be complete without......... the FOOD! Appetizing kiddie snacks awaits the guests. These includes the never-ending spaghetti, hotdog-on-sticks, and chicken drumsticks. Yuuuummm! Plus there's an extra sweet treat for the kids: COTTON CANDY! I couldn't recall the last time I ate cotton candy so I grabbed one too! :D
Before the whole party craze ends, they have a special game that comes with a special prize for the kids! No other than..... Easter Egg hunting!! Yay! The person who collected the most number of eggs will win and get to take home the special prize of the day. I'll reveal it a little later though :)

All the kids were very egg-zited as they searched in all corners of the room and even outside just to look for eggs! Kids were scattered everywhere and even their parents happily joined on the hunt! Once the egg hunting was done, two kids were fortunate enough to win and take home the special prize of the day.. which is these cute little white bunnies!! Lucky! :)

Indeed,  this is a fun and memorable way to spend Easter Sunday with your family. But aside from all the fun and games, we must not forget the real essence of this day.
God expects from men something more than at such times, and that it were much to be wished for the credit of their religion as well as the satisfaction of their conscience that their Easter devotions would in some measure come up to their Easter dress.  ~Robert South, Sermons

Victoria Court is giving-back to Chosen Children

Victoria Court with its humble Directors visited again its chosen children recently. The company has been taking care of the Chosen Children Village since year 2000, that’s 12 years of building cottages, donating basic necessities and giving cash for the operating expenses.

Why Chosen Children? Why support this cause? The special children of this village are very close to their hearts. These children all have very touching stories of how they got to the village and how they cope with their disabilities. Most of these children are products of rape and attempted abortions.

Being born under such a negative light should not dictate how the children will live their life. At this village, they learn to live, to love and to survive.

Attendees of this event include Managing Directors Atticus and Ian King with the CFO Merlie Endaya. Ian’s lovely wife and Philippine Top Model Joey Mead-King was also there to give her love to the kids and President of the Board of Chosen Children Village, Ms. Rosemarie Villareal

New FB cover photo!

Ever since, I've been wanting to have a dream catcher hanging on my bed. Unfortunately, I have never experienced having my own room, least to have my own bed. I always have to share room with my mom and my sister. And so, with the Facebook Timeline going on, I decided to make my own cover photo using dream catcher! I love it! Photos were from the net though, and I decided to edit it on Picnik. Sad to say, it will be closing this April 19. :( But anyhoo, I love the words I decided to put on each photo. Reminds me to believe on my dreams in order to achieve it. :)

Club Manila East Summer Getaway!

No matter how weird Summer in the Philippines is nowadays, with days of sudden downpour of heavy rains, no one can stop us from spending it on different beaches and swimming pools! Due to the intense heat of the sun, surely all of us would like to pack our bags, put on our sunglasses, and go out-of-town to the nearest beach we could find. Of course, summer getaway would not be complete without our barkada to have fun with, right? :)

Despite being busy with work and the differences in our schedule, my girl friends and I managed to squeeze into our free time a summer outing right in the heart of Taytay, Rizal where an amazing resort is found: Club Manila East! Huzza!! :) It has been raining cats and dogs for the past few days but luckily, the sun shone brightly and beautifully above us on that Sunday. God is so good :)

All of us met at around 9 in the morning and off we go. We took a bus ride (G-Liner) from City Hall. We paid Php 51(1.19USD)  each for the bus fare going to Taytay.  After an hour and a half of travel time, we finally arrived!! Yipeee! :) Then we took a mini jeepney going directly to CME. We paid Php8.50/pax (0.20USD) as the minimum fare.

And again, we couldn't contain our excitement! We felt like being kids again going on a field trip in the middle of summer. Only, it is already the first of April. He he.

The entrance fee costs Php375/pax (8.73USD) and children below 3 feet are FREE. :) There are variety of accommodations for guests such as the Cabana, Huts, Beachview Cabins, Pavilion and Picnic area. Since the huts were already occupied, we took the Beachview Cabin for Php700 (16.30USD).

One drawback, however, is that food and drinks are not allowed inside the premises. But no worries, because there are different food stalls located inside such as Jolibee and Chowking. And since all of us didn't have our breakfast (out of excitement I suppose), we're all famished. We decided to take our lunch in Chowking because it is near the entrance. Only, they don't provide drinks and you have to buy instead on the store beside them selling drinks, which by the way, I didn't like their service. Period.

Moving on, there are lots of different pools inside the resort for kids and kids at heart like us! You could also enjoy different water activities. They have this megapool where guests can go boating/kayaking all afternoon. My friends and I tried it and it was fuuuuuuuuuuunnnnn! My upper arms hurt after paddling though.. He he.

They also have pools with slides. Anyhow, you have to exert effort in order to slide all the way down to the pool because it is not that slippery. They have the zipline for Php150 ( 3.49USD) per ride for those who would like to experience how it feels like to fly, with harness of course. :)

Residents of Manila need not go far to enjoy the thrill of surfing. CME boasts a huge wave pool where you could surf. They also have a separate wave pool just so you could experience beach waves without being exactly at the beach. We tried this one too! Exhausting but hella F-U-N!

And if you were brave enough to dive, they have their 14-feet deep diving pool. You need not worry because there are lifeguards at hand to ensure your safety. My super brave friends tried this one as well. On the other hand, I satisfied my self watching them from below because I don't know how to swim. Poor, poor me :( Nakaka jellyyyyyyyyyyy! Ha ha.

With all the pictures taken and the fun experience that we had, we totally enjoyed our few hours of stay in Club Manila East. This place is a good summer getaway with your family, friends or even with your boyfriend/girlfriend.

Happy summer everyone! :)
